Toto we aren't in Kansas anymore. We made a stop in Nebraska City Nebraska and found a really neat history center all about the travels of Lewis and Clark. We sat on the boat used to transport goods down the Missouri river. We saw up close a black mama bear, baby bear, grizzly bear, buffalo, and a wolf. It was a good thing they were all stuffed. I will see the real ones before long. I guess these were real at one time. Anyway it was real nice and we enjoyed it very much even the long hike above the Missouri River.
After leaving there we made a quick trip across the river to Iowa just so we could say we were there. We took a scenic route #2 it was basically corn fields. Interesting fact it was corn grown for popcorn. We ended up going back toward the interstate so we could find a room and food. Stayed at North Platte Nebraska at a Royal Colonial Inn not a good choice. Most of the day was spent driving not all that interesting. Tomorrow will be better.
