We arrived after it had gone dark, and camped just outside of town again.
We had a wonderful day in town - we loved Stratford-Upon-Avon! The town has kept all of it's old charm (where Nottingham had not). The buildings throughout the town were really well preserved.
Our first stop was Shakespeare's Birthplace. As the name suggests, this was the Shakespeare family's original home, where William was born & later inherited, after his father died. We learnt about quite a few colloquialisms that were coined in those times, which we use quite readily today.
Our next stop was Hall's Croft - the house where Shakespeare's daughter lived after marrying the town's doctor, who was a very wealthy man!)
The third visit was to Anne Hathaway's Cottage - the home of Shakespeare's wife (before they were married). With really entertaining guides, this was definitely the best of the three sites.
To finish off the day nicely, we even got our Sunday roast - Yorkshire pudding and all! The pub was called the Salmon Tail and it was really nice.
The only thing that would have topped it off completely, would have been to see a performance at the Shakespeare Theatre Company ... but alas poor Yorick, they do not perform on Sundays!
So we headed off towards our final stop on the Wicked tour - the brainstrust of Oxford.

Hi guys
Big changes are afoot at the west. A few members of the board have resigned, ken Steinke has resigned as CEO, so new boss coming our way, rumor has it that it will be one of Stokes mates (Should make for interesting times). Even the editor may go. Haven't seen a pic of your van yet. Any idea when you'll be back in perth?
Kylie Brogle is pregnant Woo Hoo (14weeks). Hope all goes well leading up to christmas. The boy's are off for our christmas party (without the girls) in Yanchep next weekend. Could get messy.
Keep well
