Another quite big but nice city and my last stop in the Rajasthan province. In the 'Blue city' as it is called towers the mighty Mehrangarh fort which is impressive to see. From the city you look up to a hilly platform with enormous big walls and a magnificent fort on top. A visit here was mandatory and the audio guided tour was interesting for 2 hours. There was a white temple close to this fort so I also visited that with my new American friend Joe. Joe was like me already traveling for more than a year and has been to Africa so ofcourse some stories were exchanged. He would stay a few days more but probably we will have a rendezvous in Goa at new years eve.

Ow, there is an Omelette shop close to the clock tower which is recommended by the Lonely Planet but after everything I ate from the street I was ok but after one of these omelets I had diarrhea the next 2 days. So don’t say I didn’t warn you!

Practical stuff

-          When taking a night/ sleeper bus DON’T take the cabin in the back. I had it this time without knowing it and it is dramatic if you bump up half a meter after every little hiccup in the road.
