Where I stayed

On the road again after 3 weeks working and enjoying Moshi. Tanga is the next destination, an old industrial town on the Swahili coast of Tanzania. And in everything you can see it is the Swahili coast: everything is pole pole and hakuna matata, a lot of muslims and beer is more difficult to get. Then the temperature is higher and especially the first night I had difficulties in adapting. I stayed at a Tanzanian couchsurfer called Emmanuel who was a very nice guy and showed me around town. Because he had to work I had to check out the nearby Amboni caves by Dalla-Dalla alone.

The caves were nice and I would recommend it to everyone. Only the entrance is a bit high (20.000 Tsh) so use your student card if you have and enter for 10.000 Tsh. By the way those caves were used by the Kenyan people to hide from enemies. Apparently they go all the way to Mombasa which is about 300 km!

Practical stuff

-          Bring your student card if you go to the Amboni caves, it will save you 10.000 Tsh.
