From the official capital of Tanzania to the touristic capital because that is what Arusha is. Streets full of safari companies and 'flycatchers' and ‘touts’ trying to lure the unexpected tourist. I tried to ignore those guys as much as possible and it looks like people see me more and more as an African because not many of those flycatchers come after me. So my African aura helps me along.

Goals in Arusha were to wash my clothes, exchange my novel, and get information for climbing the Ol Donyo Lengai volcano; in Masaļ called ‘The Mountain of God’. I achieved all my goals but eventually decided to postpone the trip to this active volcano.

The last evening I was invited to have dinner with Mathias which I met earlier that day. He is a teacher and even been to England a few months ago and would me to taste his wife’s delicious cooking so ofcourse you cannot refuse such an offer.
