Where I stayed
For the rest Dodoma is quite a nice town but nothing like a capital. Bram and me followed the trend in taking cheap guesthouses because I paid in: Kigoma 6.000 Tsh, Tabora 4.000 Tsh and now Dodoma 3.500 Tsh (7.000 for a twin room), not bad!
First night we walked around a bit, had some food and a few drinks and ended up in the Master Pub where there was live music. Next day booked a bus ticket and met 2 other Dutch guys; Timo and Tom. In the afternoon Bram bought himself a new Egypt t-shirt while I was playing draughts with some guys in the street (won 1 lost 2 games)
Saturday night meant PARTY night and these 4 Mzungu’s went after Master Pub to Maisha Club and danced the night away on the booming hiphop and dance music. A very cool club and according to me one of the best I have seen in Africa! Clubbing until 5 in the morning and my bus left at 6.30 am so washed my face and packed my bag to go (a bit) drunk on the bus. That’s a while ago that this happened to me but it is also part of traveling!
- If possible go to Dodoma in the weekend and check out Maisha Club (10.000 Tsh entrance). It is a cool place and you will enjoy!
