The first activity for this trip was a visit to Kafue National Park. This park is the biggest of Zambia with a size comparable to Belgium. A real adventure in nature next to the Kafue river. There we went, Family Van Gaal including Temwa with 5 people in a RAV 4.. We slept in tents where hippo's and elephants could just pass in the night.

In the evening we watched the Zambian football match against Equatorial Guinea (at least the second half because it was raining in the first half and we didn’t have any signal J). Next morning the game drive and also the evening game drive showed us various animals but unfortunately no cats like lions, cheeta’s or leopards. We had a lot of fun and it is good to be in the bush without phones and busy traffic. Played some football with the guys at the camp and papa Martien (aka CHICULU) scored the first goal but also hurt his feet big time.

After 2 days and nights in the bush we went back and drove over a snake on the road, yes this is wild Africa. We paid a visit to the town of Mumbwa where we are setting up business and we met with the headman of the village. This guy is the boss there but he always asks me for talktime (credit to call) and money for beers. I didn’t give him but Niels was present with a cigarette which ofcourse he also wanted!!
