Spend the last night in Botswana in a tent at Kubu Camp and woke up early to make the trip to Livingstone, Zambia. On the ferry at the border we saw some canoes coming quickly to collect a lot of six-packs Heineken. Apparently the beer is cheaper in Botswana and to prevent the import costs people just smuggle a lot of stuff to the Zambian site.

Evaluation of Botswana

It is a country of extreme landscapes and wide scenaries. Lots of things to offer but to keep on a budget is difficult and can only be achieved by sleeping in a tent and cook your own food once in a while. The people are a bit conservative but very friendly and cooperative as anywhere else in Africa. Moving around with public transportation is perfectly possible but getting a ride from smaller places sometimes has to come via hitchhiking.
