Early in the morning got the bus to Mozambique Island and met with Berenice, a Dutch girl. Was again a while ago since I met somebody Dutch and we went to the same place so that was cool. The place is called Ruby Backpackers and it is really a paradise place (see pictures). Mozambique Island is a Unesco World Heritage Site and the highlight of Mozambique. It was the capital until the end of the 19th century and has a lot of cultural history.

In the 4 days I was there I chilled out ofcourse but also went to the Fort of San Sebastian and the Chapel of Nossa Senhora de Baluarte which is built in 1522 and considered the oldest European building on the southern hemisphere! For the rest me and Bernice checked out the island, did a little bit of swimming and cycled to the main land through some villages. On the way saw some dolphins playing around so that was really cool ofcourse.

The last day we were planning to go on a boat trip and found a Belgian couple (Jeroen & Isabel) who joined us and had a pleasant day of sailing towards beautiful beaches.Ilha de Mocambique is
really a relaxed place to stay and that's the reason why I stayed for 4 days and 4 nights.
