3.50 am the alarm goes and after some washing and packing stuff up to the train station. The train is worthwhile spending a blog so the details will be in there but it was a real African experience since I traveled 3rd class which was not really recommended by my guide (The Lonely Planet). However, 12 hours later arrived in Nampula and made a friend, Catho (30 years), from DRC (Congo). He traveled all the way from Congo to here to visit his brother and his family.
He offered me to stay at their place and since I arrived quite late that wasn't a bad offer.

Had a 'chat' (in Swahili, French and a little bit of English) with his family and ate Xima (the flowery stuff that is called Zsima in Malawi and Ugali in Tanzania) with sauce and fish which tasted good after this long trip. Spent the night at a friend of Catho's brother and in the morning met with some other family members who also live here and drank some tea.

Checked out the city and after some walking would like to drink a beer. Man....unbelievable...after almost an hour searching and asking a guy in the street I found one. The beer tasted REALLY good by he way. For the rest did nothing special and spent another night at the DRC family since I wasn't allowed to look for a hotel (in a good way).
