Getting up at 6 and pack my stuff and walk 30 minutes to the main road. Got myself some food and jumped on a minibus with 2 American girls and got out at Dwangwa where we had to get another minibus further to the south. At Nkhotakota I had to change again and transportation was in the back of a big truck this time. The fuel shortage in Malawi is definitely severe since prices go up every week and you have to take any type of transportation that is available. Got off at Salima and went with the final minibus to Lilongwe and camped at Mufasa lodge. Because it was Malawian independence day I would like to check out if something was happening but there was not much so went to bed early.
Next day did some internetting but there was a problem with Skyband (the internet company) so only got an hour time. I did meet an extraordinary person with which I had a chat. His name is
Madhumangala Das a.k.a. ' Traveling monk in Africa'. This man is part of the 'International Society for Krishna Consciousness' and was traveling and preaching the science of self realization for 15 years. Because he was from South-Africa we exchanged some Afrikaans and Dutch words and he gave me the Self Realization book for a little bit of money, a hug and a good story haha..
Later packed my stuff and met with Khama which I met via Couchsurfing. We first went to his place to drop the big bag and checked out the city after wards. Again you see much more of the city if you are with a local guy since now I've seen the big market but also the local market. Did some shopping and watched how Khama got his hair cut. In the evening had dinner at his place and danced with his little girl on South African music which I had on my laptop.
