We packed a lunch and plenty of water today........four wheeling on the Christmas Tree Pass outside Laughlin!!!!
The Pass is said to be named because of the various trees along the dirt road were often decorated. This became raucous and unmanageable, so the practice was banned several years ago. The Pass leads to Grapevine Canyon, where you can see indian petroglyphs. You can also drive via the dirt road to Spirit Mountain, a sacred ground of the Yuman Indians that dates back to 1100 AD.
We saw some large hawks and lots of cute ground squirrels. We had a great day!!
