Another beautiful day - we are so fortunate!  We took an early morning tour of Citadel Hill.  It is quite the strategic defense fortification and so well located that it has never been under siege.

We're quite anxious today as it is the big Tall Ships Parade of Sail. We drove over to Dartmouth to join Jackie's family at Woodside Park to view the Halifax harbour parade - what a perfect location.

Canada's own Bluenose II lead the way with the Russian ship (Kruzenshtern) closing the ceremonies.   We had a phenomenal and unobstructed hillside view of the parade - truly wonderful!  It was great to share the day with extended family.

Afterwards Jackie's dad and sister-in-law took us over to the community of Eastern Passage where he grew up and still has family and friends  We toured the boardwalk, snooping in a few shops and enjoying a few beers at Boondocks along the shores.

What a nice way to end our Halifax visit!
