We moved on to Granada using a nice bus with air conditioning and free juice and snacks.
The border was long but not tiring, because we were able to stay on the bus most of the time. We had to get off to get our passports stamped and our bags checked. We arrived in Granada and took a taxi to Casa San Francisco a hotel we remembered from our earlier trip to Nicaragua. The parrots I liked were still there and there was also a toucan. We called him a "one-can" because there used to be two but now there was just one. One of the parrots was called Peef, he sat on my finger and walked around my shoulders. The Toucan was "arm-trained". Awesome!
We had an awesome room and the pool was awesome too. We met some awesome people too
My Birthday. I got cake for breakfast! The staff at the restaurant gace it to me and my parents. I had coffee with my cake too! I like it with lots of milk and sugar, the parrots like sugar too.
I got a spinning top and a bird whistle, a yoyo, a card made from banana paper and a set of headphones. I can't Yoyo yet. It was my day to choose what we did and I chose to stay at the hotel and swim.
We stayed two extra days in Granada because we liked to hotel and the town so much. I didn't like the market much though because it stunk of raw meat and spices. But we did buy two shirts there, one for daddy - a Tshirt and one for me - a folk shirt made in Masaya.
