Anyhow, 'twas good thing I didn't find a campsite as it rained quite heavily overnight. I couldn't get going as early as I wanted as breakfast only started at 8.30 - sultry lad serving .. and I decided on the "short-steep" route rather than the "long not-so-steep" route and after an inital climb/push the crossing into Switzerland wasn't as bad as I expected.
