Was up at 7.00am packed up the rest of my stuff and checked out of the Hotel, then drove back to the rental car property at the airport to return our lovely car with only 920 miles on it. Then it was off to the airport where Graeme and I said goodbye to each other and then went our separate ways, his flight left at 11.15am for New York City and I was on the 2.30pm flight to New Orleans. Booked my accommodation in New Orleans then got on my flight and arrived in New Orleans at 4.30pm central time, jumped on the airport shuttle which dropped me off at my Hostel's front door at 5.30pm. First impression of the St Vincent's Guest House was what am I doing here, so I check in and got my room and just relaxed and chilled out for the rest of the day. Went down to the local supermarket which was only 4 blocks over from the hostel and it looked like the roughest blocks in New Orleans but it was because of Hurricane Katrina that happen only a year before, leaving a huge mess in its path and the area I was walking around was one of the wealthy before the Hurricane but now there are homeless and people all over the streets. Got back to the Hostel and cooked my dinner, then as I was reading through all the flyers at the front counter, the hostel I was staying at was in the movie "Candyman" it was an old orphanage in the 1861 then closed down in the 1970's and reopened in 1984 as a guest house and hostel.
