Well we managed to stay awake and have fun on our first day! We took a bus from the airport straight to the hotel. It's really nice (because of the conference), the nicest we will be in for the rest of our trip. It has this huge Sky Tower that you can bungee off if you want. We went by bus to Kelly Tartlton's aquarium - lots of stingrays, sharks, and fish (I brought my suite 'cause you can do a shart/stingray encounter but they wanted way too much $$$ and I have other adventures already planned). Then we bussed back to the city central and went to the pier for lunch. After a yummy gelato dessert by the water we took another bus to the Victoria Street Flea Market. We met a very nice woman who gave us some history. Then we bussed back and checked in to the hotel. After quickly getting settled we went for a walk to Albert Park - which, much to my mother's chagrin, had several statues - but none of Albert himself. It was beautiful. Visited the grounds of the University - no one to be seen. Summer school doesn't start until January 3rd. Then back to the hotel for dinner and up to the room for some zzzz's. We made it all day, until about 10:30pm
