Rick and Renae's wedding was today and it was a lot of fun. They live in Edinburgh but Renae is from Brisbane so they had a ceremony and reception here for her family. They had their first ceremony in Edinburgh, and are also having a ceremony in Vancouver for Rick's family, and a honeymoon in Hawaii. So they are doing a lot of traveling, lucky devils.
Mandy had to lend out some of her wardrobe to Ally and I who didn't pack for such a grand affair, even though I had hoped we would make it to Brisbane in time for the wedding. Of course Mandy is about 4 inches taller and several inches slimmer than me and Ally so it wasn't easy finding the right clothes but we did eventually leave her house looking decent.
The ceremony was in a beautiful park in Brisbane. Afterward we all went to the reception at an Italian restaurant. We had a lot of fun. We didn't get to see much of the happy couple as their family was busy fighting for their attention, understandably, so we just sat back and enjoyed the evening. We did get to visit with them a bit though. Rick has picked up quite a Scottish accent and accuses me of being very Canadian sounding. Ha ha. I guess I am dropping the "eh" a little too much. They told us about their travels around Europe and the rest of their wedding trip.
At the end of the night, us three girls headed back to Mandy's place.
