Oh my goodness I am in heaven! Today we flew from Adelaide to Cairns. As soon as we got to Carins I could feel the warmth and humidity surrounding me. It was glorious! We went to the car rental booth and picked up our rental car that we are going to drive all the way to Brisbane. When we finally stepped outside the airport I just couldn't believe my eyes. Cairns is so beautiful. It is lush and green and the mountains surrounding us are full of colour. The water is so clear and inviting. I can't wait to get in!

We got in to Cairns fairly late in the day though so we couldn't do much. Once we found a hotel and checked in and got ourselves settled, we walked around the town a bit. They have a much more exciting night life than Adelaide, that's for certain! We had some dinner and walked around the shops. I love when stores are open at night. The weather is fantastic and a nice cool breeze comes by to take the heat off. It was so nice. I did have a scary moment where I lost Mandy and Ally and it took me a long time to find them again. I panicked! I don't know why as I knew where the car was and the hotel but for some reason I lost my senses and got quite scared that I'd never be able to find them. But I did find them and everyone was fine and we went back to our very nice hotel for the night.
