Tasha took the day off work today so she could drive us around and show us cool Melbourne stuff. We drove out to the Yarra Valley where we visited the Healesville Sanctuary. There is quite a variety of birds to see there but what I enjoyed most was the baby wombat. She was following around a ranger who was carrying a bottle. She was absolutely precious! We talked to him a bit about her and found out she was only a few weeks old. We also saw a lot of Aussie animals like wallabies, a Tasmanian devil, emus, lizards, and some lethargic koalas. The good thing about them not moving is they are easy to photograph!

We had a picnic in the sanctuary and then continued on to see some flying foxes and then the beautiful dingos. I couldn't get enough of the dingos. They are so beautiful and I love their gorgeous red coats of fur.

They finally dragged me away with the promise of a visit to one of the Yarra Valley wineries Ibis

 . We stopped in at Chandon Winery and did a little tasting before checking out the vineyards outside. Ally doesn't like wine so she didn't indulge like we did but still enjoyed the visit. The scenery is beautiful out in the Yarra Valley.

Tasha took us back to Melbourne to St. Kilda, a nice beach in Melbourne. We took a lovely stroll down the water and peaked in Luna Park. The park was closed though so we didn't go on any of the rides.

It was a great day out and at the end of the day we had a delicious dinner back at Adam and  Tasha's place.
