Back in the GVRD and now Cindy is here too! She arrived last night with Rylie and they stayed at her friend's place. So this morning we drove over to the friend's house and piled into her rental SUV. It took us awhile to get going because she had to pack all her belongings to stay at my parents' place tonight and then we had some dramas with Rylie's car seat that came with the rental car. It's a bit questionable.

Finally on the road, we went downtown and hit the shops on Robson. We went to Milestones to meet Glenn and Jess for lunch. Glenn brought me a bag of ketchup chips. I guess he heard how much I missed them. Jess told us about how much she loved having Glenn stay with her and all the fun that came with it. Yes, she was dripping with sarcasm.

After a very long lunch we separated from Glenn and Jess. Glenn is flying home later tonight. We didn't do much more shopping; instead we headed back to the car and Cindy took us on a little drive to Burnaby Mountain Park which she claims has some amazing views. Unfortunately it started to rain on our way over so by the time we arrived the view wasn't great. But the park has a nice rose garden and some walking trails so we went for a little hike through the park, staying mostly dry under the canopy of trees.

The final stop on our exciting itinerary for today was Cactus Club for dinner with the old BCIT crew. Our huge group had been reduced to Cindy, myself, Pey and Steve by the time the plans had been finalized.  It was great to see them all but it would have also been great to see the others.

Another surprise when we got to Cactus Club: it was closed for renovations. The only option nearby was Boston Pizza so we settled for mediocre food. But at least we were in good company!

Steve offered to take us on a tour of EA sometime while we are in town so now we have to figure out when we can squeeze that in. So much is going on during our two short weeks in town, it will be impossible to fit everything in.

Back in Surrey, Cindy decided to stay at her friend's place one more night since Rylie had a long day today and needed to rest up tomorrow. She'll get used to the traveling lifestyle in no time with a mom like Cindy!
