Hello, think some of you may have read this one already, it wasn´t quite finished I didn´t think it would be on the blog yet, hence to the observant it´s not quite yet been a week. Now i´m trying to edit it and upload the pics of the Old Town and very frustratingly it didn´t upload the pics that I spent ages putting the comments to etc etc... So I´ll try again soon!
But it does seem like I´ve been here ages already! Getting to know the city a bit more and meeting people at the hostel. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday they have a free rum and coke night, so Monday just gone was a very messy night indeed.. It was few peoples birthdays so they decided to have a pirate theme party to celebrate. So everyone was in bandannas and had drawn loads of pirate things all over themselves, I only managed a bandanna. It was a good night, and somehow I managed to get back to my bed, I was actually very surprised to wake up in my bed as I have no idea how I got there, not really a good idea and not one I´ll be repeating in a hurry
So Wednesday I managed to do some site seeing and took a walk to the old part of town, as I´m staying in the new town area. It was nice and hot well for me anyway, 24 degrees, I was in t-shirt but all the locals in coats and jumpers! Has rained in the afternoon/evening last 2 nights and a few thunder storms. The room I´m in now is separate from the main building and has a tin roof so very loud when it rains!

. Anyway, Tuesday was a total write off with such a bad hangover, I think it must have been compounded by the altitude here too as Quito is at 2850 meters and one is advised to take it easy on arrival here for the first few days.. well thats my excuse anyway! Ahoy me hearties!
Yo Bro!
A night of piracy on the high seas of debauchery... and I bet you never even used my old classic:
Q: How do you know if you're a pirate?
A: You just aarrhhh!
high altitude messy
The altitude must have lowered your limit to about 3 pints I'd say..
...surpised to wake up in your bed ?? Different country - same story !
