Well it's been awhile since my last blog. We are back home in Atlanta (reluctantly). To be honest, Mecca was the only one who wanted to come home. But we stretched every last dollar we could stretch and it was time to come home to regroup financially.
We spent our last few days in Hawaii enjoying all the sites we hadn't visited, and relishing our favorite places (like Yogurt Mama in Kailua and Lanikai beach.) We took a strenuous hike up to the pill boxes above Lanikai, went snorkeling at world famous Haunama Bay, said goodbye to friends, took a trolley ride to Hilo Hattie Hawaiian store, saw a hula show at Ala Moana Mall, and then spent 7 days to get from Honolulu to Atlanta. More about that in my next blog.
I loved living in Hawaii for 5 months. It was definitely an experience of a lifetime. We had so many incredible adventures and grew closer as a family and stretched ourselves in every way possible as individuals. Mecca has matured so much I often times forget she's 6. And Thomas and I have blossomed as well.
So long for now to the incredible people I met in Hawaii. We will meet again! And remember, Atlanta is a pretty cool place to visit. Even though we were living like gypsies in Hawaii, we actually do own a home here :).
