They say home is where the heart is.  Well we brought our hearts to Hawaii and are sharing them with the people that we meet.  And I must say, the love and generosity we are receiving is amazing!  After spending 5 stress filled nights in Waikiki upon our arrival, we were thrilled to move to Kailua to a bed and breakfast run by Doug and Bird. (No breakfast is actually included.)

The house sits down the street from where President Obama and his family spent their Christmas vacation.  It's on a beautiful canal just a few blocks from the beach.  Our upstairs neighbors are a couple from France and a woman from Switzerland.  A retired military couple lives on the other side of the house so there are lots of people around.   It's our own mini United Nations.  The room is small but comfortable.  Since there is no place to escape (except outside but not great if it's raining) Thomas and I resolve disagreements quickly.  It's no fun being mad in such small quarters :).

NOTE: We would like to say a Special Thank You to William and Jill for their generous financial contributions to our 2012 Outrageous Travel Adventures. If you would like to see your name on our Acknowledgment page, simply hit the Support My Travels button on the top right side of the page and follow the instructions :)

Hi Guys! Beautiful pictures. Your location looks so peaceful I can image how much you are enjoying it. Sandra, your pasta dish made me drool -- you are such a great cook. Thanks for sharing. Miss you all. Aloha.
