After a night on rocky ground, made much longer by the flapping and scratching of our backcountry permit, like some deranged predatory squid on the roof of our tent, we headed back towards the car. These are some things we saw along the way.

Beautiful Country!
Hello Caitlin and Chris. We are enjoying all your beautiful photos of mts, flora, and fauna. A little vicarious excitement for us. If you haven't already, phone Aunt Rose before the 15th if you are staying at her place. I love watching the line on the map that shows your progress! Cute crickets!
love this!
Hi Caitlin. I didn't know you were doing this blog! Aunt Trish sent it to me and I love it! What a great way to keep everyone updated. Love you and hope you continue to have a great time.

Great vistas and panoramas. Breathtaking in reality I'll bet. And cold. How much did you trek? Cricket of Doom?! And for sentimental reasons it was great to see you and Mr Car together again. I thank Chris for getting you through alive. He'd'a been a great pioneer perhaps. Wonder how he'd look with a Colt hung from his hip -- or cradling a Winchester. Humma humma humma.
