Hello from Virginia. So the plan had been to leave DC early yesterday and make it to Asheville NC. That didn't really work. Instead we ate cupcakes with Katie and got on the road around 4 and drove to Shenandoa National Park were we spent the night. I camped. Impressive.
This morning we were on the road by 9 and enjoyed the beautiful sites of the Blue Ridge parkway. There were a ton of deer in the park and we ever saw a couple of young Black Bears.
We're stopped for lunch now at a Denny's, which I think is making Chris cry a little on the inside, but they have free wifi. Hard to pass up a deal like that.
Not sure where we'll be tonight. Asheville? Memphis? Roanoke? We'll see. Pictures to come.

Nice getting these travelogs so we know you're still out there. You know of course I have my heart in my throat about the car since the tires went. Don't you just hate being irrational?

Thanks for sending your travel update. I enjoyed your photos and hearing your news. Loved the feet photo, couldn't figure out which sandals were connected to which person! We wish y'all a safe trip to Tennessee.
