We're about Six days into our road trip. So far we're hit; Glastonbury Ct, Boston MA, Plymouth NH, N. Conway NH, and Albany NY. The drive from Albany to DC happened in one day, with a stop in Forest Hills for Lunch with my dad, and a couple of hours in Christiana DE because our front tires started splitting. So much so that the Pep Boys mechanic showed me the metal fibers growing out of our tire.
No worries, 2 new tires later and some really oily tempura we were back on the road and made it into DC by about midnight. I of course fell asleep right when Chris needed help with directions. oh well....
Katie is staying with a Family in DC and their place is sweet. She's working on Capital Hill and gave us a detailed tour of the Capital. We almost saw the PM of Pakistan, but didn't...
For dinner we ate at a hole in the wall pakistani restaurant, which we knew was going to be good because people from pakistan we're eating there. The PM did not join us. Lots of panner and aloo gobi later we rolled ourselves out of the restaurant and went to see some of Katie's friends before heading home on the bus. I again fell asleep.
Today we're heading to Asheville NC, more to come....

Our Feet
. After the tour we headed off to paddle boat in the tidal basin and say the jefferson memorial. Then to the Smithsonian Natural History Museum where we saw the Hope Diamond, the Hope Diamond mobbed by Japanese tourists, an exhibit on Soil (which I'm sure Chris liked more than Katie or I did), an exhibit on the history of Rastafarians (jah know) and lastly a IMAX 3D on prehistoric sea monsters.
