(J)
A remarkable city, relentless not restful. It has, however, exceeded our expectations.

Political
The news before we arrived was full of disputes between the Thai Government (United Front for Democracy Against Dictatorship) and the Peoples' Alliance for Democracy (PAD). All has been calm whilst we have been here with no repeat of the riots, tear gas and injuries of last week.

Transport
Tuk tuk, skyrail, boat, taxi (metered and unmetered) - each exciting in their own way!

Weather
That would be very hot then. Wonderful lightning storms in the evening.

Cultural highlights
Grand Palace - fantastic
Largest reclining Buddha in the world - as described, very big and lying down.
Jim Thompson House - Thai silk merchant

Hotel
I will think of this and sigh when 100km into one of our cycling days and heading for a local guest house.....

Drinks
Every day should end with cocktails.
