Lazy start: mango, papaya, passion fruit and banana for breakfast so already well on the way to 5/day.

Nature Watch:
A walk around part of McRitchey reservoir in the afternoon. Monkeys, turtles and monitor lizards.

Medical Watch:
M was telling us about the traditional procedure for pregnant Chinese Singaporean girls. Once the pregnancy is announced, the husband's parents come and stay until the baby is due. Then once the baby is born, the mother's parents come to stay to help look after the baby for 6mth. The mother is not meant to get out of bed for 2wk post partum. The expectant mum is not meant to shower, bath or wash her hair for 1 mth before and 1 month after birth (in case it makes the baby weak) so many mums to be have their hair cut short.
She also can't have air conditioning on (in case it weakens the baby).

The Arts
In the evening, we went to the Botanic Gardens and listened to some of an open air Chopin concert. Then back to the apartment for a Sunday roast dinner.

Life at Longcroft
Not so lazy start: Overslept so marmite on toast for breakfast, does that count as one of my 5 a Day?

Nature watch: Spiders are congregating on the outside of the house, its like something from a horror movie!

Medical Watch: None to speak of... but its early days, I'm sure something will go wrong.

The Arts: Culture? huh? Well Stu and I watched Harry Potter last night if that counts.

xx C
