Where I stayed
The breakfast at the hotel is a great disappointment... It was sooo little and so bad that we have decided that we are going to skip the 45HKD it costs us per day per person and go somewhere else. We tried to get it refunded, but without luck... But it's so bad that we just can't be bothered to eat there juuust to save the money...
We went back to our room where Mr.Johaug had a nap while I was planning our stay here in Hong Kong. Around 12 we headed out for our first stop: Star Ferry tour around the Victoria Harbour. It was a nice tour around 1 hour. A bit too much for me. O'm amazed though about the city of HK. The skyscrapers are much better than Manhattens... Sorry NY... But you have been beaten by HK! I also met the first Norwegians in my travel.
After our little cruise around the harbour we went to the science museum. I LOVE science museums, but this one was a bit disappointing.. I must say I had bigger expectations to HK being a tech place. We had a few hours of fun ;)
Back at our hotel we got about 20 minutes relaxing time before we were meeting my friend Alice. She is a girl that I met in Barcelona during my Spanish course who lives here in Hong Kong.
She took us out for dinner at a local place where they serve potted rice... They boil rice in a ceramic pot on a fire. And you can add different meat into it... It was a different taste to the rice, but neither me or Arild could really see why we would have to queue up for this meal for about 30 minutes. It wasn't all that fancy, but heeeey... The thing about traveling is about experience new things :)
After dinner we went to the night marked:) It was very interesting and fancy, and I liked walking around looking at various things:) We bought a small cute key-ring, or Alice bought it as a present to us:) It's a small girl and a small boy connected together with a magnet and we get one each:)
After saying goodbye to Alice after having an interesting and nice evening we headed home. We stopped at a jewelery place to look at some gold:) And woooow it's cheap here!:) A girl on the place recommended me to buy gold here, because it is suppose to be one of the cleanest and best places to buy gold:) So I might have to buy myself something:):)
1g = 300 HKD..... Don't know how much it costs in Norway??
