Day 167:  We left Glasgow today and had to take a train, then bus and then a ferry to get to Belfast, it took about 6 hours but was the cheapest route.  When we arrived we met up with Trent at the hostel which we had organised a couple of days earlier.  He had been travelling for an extra month while Sarah went and worked in SE Asia, Belfast was his last stop before going to meet her.  So when we arrived it was quite late so we dropped our stuff off and went for dinner and then ended up at a bar until about 1am when everything closed.

Day 168:  Today we booked to do the Giant's Causeway Tour.  We had to get up early for this one and we were all a little sluggish getting up but got there on time.

Our first stop was a quick stop at Carrickfergis Castle, not much just saw the outside, then we continued until we got to the Carrick-a-Rede ropebridge, it was a nice walk to the bridge but it cost 5 to walk across the bridge and you bought that before you even saw it, if I had seen it beforehand I may not have even worried.  The bridge is about 15m across and 20m from the ocean and leads to a small island offshore where the fisherman used to keep their boats, not worth the price but still did it.

We then had lunch at Bushmills Whiskey Distillery but didn't have time to take the tour.  We then made our way to the Giant's Causeway, these rock formations are pretty cool and was one of the main things I wanted to do on our trip to Ireland.  We spent a good 45mins climbing over the rocks and taking photos and then making our way along some of the other walking tracks in the area, saw some more cool rock formations and eventually made our way back to bus for our trip back to Belfast.  We went to bed early tonight since we were up late the previous night and we want to be fresh for tomorrow night as we will be going out for Trent's last night in Europe.

Day 169:   First thing today that we had planned was to do a Black Top Cab Tour which has come highly recommended by everybody that we have talked to.  So we booked the tour and jumped in the back of the cab, I wasn't 100% sure what it was going to be about which was good as everything the guy told us really was interesting.  These cab drivers did actually drive cabs during all the political turmoil between the Irish and British-Irish and they have all the facts and stories and they tell it so well.  We saw the wall that separated the two sides and which is still in use now with a gate that automatically closes at about 9pm and reopens at 7am and the only way to get from one side to the other during the night is to go through the city centre which means getting in is easy but getting out after doing something to their rivals is very difficult without getting caught.  I honestly still didn't know it was still like this, although it has calmed down a lot.

After the tour we got dropped off at a pub and had a drink and a feed and continued going from bar to bar for Trent's last day until we settled on one we liked, we stayed there until closing which was at 1am on a Friday night which we weren't happy about and what made it worse was that everything else was closed too so we had to head back to the hostel.  It's not really what we wanted since we still had to stay up until 4am for Trent to catch his plane.  So we said our goodbyes to Trent and plan to catch up sometime back in Australia.
