The flight from Roatan, Honduras to Managua was quick and easy. My hotel shuttle was waiting for me at the airport and then it was a about an hour and 15 minutes to Leon.

Leon used to be the capital of Nicaragua. Enough history. It's an ok town with some charm, good restaurants and hotels. The entire town can be walked in about 30-45 minutes. It's a nice place, but it doesn't compare to Antigua (Guatemala), or Copan (Honduras). One plus is that there are far less tourists here. There are also quite a few nice churches town all within walking distance to each other.

There is a charity here where you can get a one hour massage from a blind person for $15.00. I thought I would give it a try and also support a good cause. The massage was ok, but it was very strange having no clothes on and no sheet on top of me. I guess it doesnt matter when the masseuse is blind, but it still was a little awkward.
