I have to admit that even though I usually do not like flying I was somewhat looking forward to our flight from Rome to Dubai since it was on Emirates Airline.  Although nearly every seat was taken, it turned out to be one of the most comfortable flights.  There were tons of space in couch and the meals would be considered very good even if served at a restaurant.  It also so nice to have personal TVs with games on the 5 hour flight.  Customs took nearly over an hour to get through as it was packed at midnight.  Once leaving customs (around 1:30A) the airport itself was more crowded with people than LAX during a holiday.  People were just everywhere and the taxi line was huge.  Fortunately, it was only a 10 minute drive to our hotel.  This hotel was just recently opened and is gorgeous; Star Boutique Hotel, http://www.starboutiqueclocktower.com.  We were so happy to once again have a washer and dryer in the room as nearly everything was ready for a wash.
