HE SAID:
Unbelievably, today was one of the highlights of the trip.  Why, you ask?  Because I was able to jump on a bog.  For those of you of whom have never jumped on a bog and don't know what it is, let me explain.   A bog is a mossy area that grew over water.  It's hard enough to walk on, but not good for much else.  When someone ten feet away jumps up and down on a bog, you can feel the ground vibrate.  Very strange stuff here.  We stayed at the Westport Plaza Hotel; www.westportplazahotel.ie.  I really like this town.  It's really small, charming, has beautiful bridges over water, everything is in walking distance, and it has lots of character.  We were really hoping to get a coffee at 5PM tonight, but like Irvine, things shut down early.
