SHE SAID:
Headed out this morning for a nice walk/hike to see the dingle lighthouse. On the way we were lucky enough to spot Fungie, the locally famous dolphin. He showed up back in the eighties and no one knows where he came from? Unfortunately it started to rain so we had to head back early. We spent some relaxing time at our B&B, www.emlaghouse.com. Had a great fish dinner in town (Out of the Blue) then headed to a pub for some live music. Despite the rain I still Love Ireland.
The next morning we headed out to do a driving tour of the dingle peninsula. It was full of sheep, little villages, dramatic cliffs, sea gulls, and even the some of the locations were Far and Away was filmed. In Dingle they are very proud of their Irish Heritage and the county has voted to keep all of the signs only posted in Irish. As a consequence many tourists get lost and have difficulty finding their hotels, etc. So what happens is that the locals involved in the tourist industry spray paint the English names on the sign. It's bizarre, almost looks like tagging. But, it did help us find our way.

At the pub, we were pleasantly surprised by a random customer that still believes that playing the spoons is both entertaining and a great addition to the live band. While the band completely ignored him, I couldn't stop watching those silver eating utensils banging together off his knee. A real master and role model for all.
