She Said:
Got up early, well for us, and had the best pancakes for breakfast. Then headed out to check out the Queen's Walk before leaving for Dingle. On the way to Dingle is the Iveragh Peninsula and perhaps the largest tourist attraction in Ireland, the Ring of Kerry. It's a winding coastal road that goes up and down the mountainside with lakes, rock cliffs, farms, islands off the coast, old forts (like Staigue), cows, sheep, and "40 shades of green" rolling hills. It's undeniably striking. Adam continues to impress me with his driving on these steep narrow roads, I couldn't do it! The ring of Kerry passes through the highest spot you can drive to in all of Ireland. Stopped for a quick lunch in Waterville across from the beach park then continued on to Dingle. Arrived in Dingle just as a storm blew in. Sideways rain all night long, we were very happy to be cozy in our B&B.
