We were excited to begin our Ireland vacation and start our driving tour around the island in a few days. At the airport, we got in the taxi and realized our driving tour has already taken a turn for the worse. We didn't know that cars drive on the other side of the road!
Ireland is so beautiful. Green is everywhere and the building are all so beautiful. It seems as if all homes are flawless, no chipped paint, no graffiti, nothing. We stayed one night at the Morgan Hotel (www.themorgan.com) which is in Temple Bar. This is the main place for the partying and it was crazy, drunk people everywhere. Stacy and I saw enough and was back in our room before midnight! Good thing we asked for a quiet room because even our hotel bar was packed. The next morning we checked out and stayed at my new favorite hotel in terms of decor. The Dylan in Dublin is only 10 months new (www.dylan.ie). Checked out Stephan's park and some of the main shopping areas
SHE SAID:
Dublin is a nice touristy little city. There are many many visitors here, but ironically not that many "sites" to see. I have a feeling that mainly everyone is drinking in the pubs. Temple bar reminds me of bourbon street in New Orleans, and Grafton street is so packed with people you can barely walk. My favorite part of Dublin is listening to all the locals talk, the accent/attitude is charming and entertaining if not slightly difficult to understand. Dublin is good for a couple days but i am looking forward to exploring the rest of the island.

. Not much for tourists to do in Dublin, but that's OK, since just walking around this beautiful city is great!SHE SAID:
