Where I stayed
. The owner pulled out a bucket of raw meat and poured it on a mat and the two cheetahs went at it. The owner was talking about them and their habits. The cheetahs were orphans and raised there at birth. He said we could come up to them and pet them from behind as long as they were eating. I was the second person in line and got to pet a real live cheetah which was awesome!!! After the cheetahs were done eating, they just ran to their outside pen and did their thing. Then we moved onto his second pair of cheetahs to do the same thing which was cool too. This guy has way too much money as evidence by his four pet cheetahs, elaborate camp, and cars and bikes to play with. Lucky guy!!! After the cheetahs, I decided it was time for an afternoon jog since it’s been a few days. I set off solo and just ran on the dirt road with only my thoughts. There really wasn’t anything out there in the desert like surroundings. I returned and we ate a pretty good meal of mac & cheese and veggies. There wasn’t too much meat which meant I would be hungry sooner rather than later. Star gazing proceeded as we could see quite a lot of stars out. I even learned that you can see satellites moving in the sky which was pretty cool. Sleep ensued.
Woke up early and a bit tired since I woke up a lot last night. We have another long drive day ahead of us. 8 hours this time. A whole lot of PC, nap, and reading time. I am still reading the book “Eat, Pray, Love” and have been slow in the Pray part because I’ve been a bit tired lately. After a stop for lunch where I bought a chicken & mushroom and pepper steak meat pie, we made it to our camp in the middle of nowhere again. We arrived at about 4pm and were told that the cheetah feeding was happening right now and we better hurry to see it. We walked up to a fence and saw two full-grown cheetahs behind there just looking at us. When the German looking older owner guy walked by the fence, one of the cheetahs made that hissing sound and showed his teeth. I thought, DAM!!! The owner started to talk about what was going to happen and he said we were going to go inside with him and to take off your sunglasses. I thought he was joking at first and then he opened the fence and walked in and so did everyone
