Long drive as usual happened.  Met with my new group in the evening.  It’s kind of weird because in our previous group, you just start to get to know people in a certain way and then they are gone and you have brand new people to get to know.  There will be seven carry over’s from the old group to the new one.  So that should be good.  In the evening we had a little goodbye dinner with the old group at a place called “Carnivore Restaurant.”  Supposedly it is one of the top 50 restaurants in the world.  I also heard that they serve  exotic meats like zebra and impala.  So with words like “exotic meats”, I am totally in!  I’m not sure why, but I have a weird thing/fetish where I like to eat weird or different meats.  The weirdest so far - raw horse(Japan), duck embryo(Philippines).  We arrived to the restaurant after a long drive and the place was pretty impressive.  After seeing mud hut homes for the past 2 weeks, this place was definitely a step up.  It was very nicely done and impressive!  We sat down and waited for the others to arrive.  2 out of the 3 arrived and we just went for it.  We soon discovered that they in fact didn’t have any exotic meats.  They had the same meats you can find back home.  They did have ostrich balls though which were fantastic!  The restaurant was just like a restaurant called Fogo De Chao back in the US.  They have these guys walking around with different cuts of meat and you tell them yes or no to the meat.  Then they cut you off a slab of meat onto your plate.  It’s a meat lovers dream and all the meats were really tasty and so juicy!  I ate my fair share just like everyone else and enjoyed it.  Dessert followed the meal and then the bill.  The place was pretty pricey for a place in Kenya and I’m not so sure it would be in the top 50 restaurants in the world.  It was good though.
