Today I had a great time with my flat-mate, Jenny. She and I decided to celebrate the Autumn Holiday, we should go out and enjoy the great weather.
We were planning on going to Pollok Park and the Burrell Collection, but we couldn't figure out which bus to take! Instead, we went to see the Botanic Gardens, which were well worth it, and only a short walk away from the Main Gate of the University.
But as we were walking through Ashton Lane, we happened upon a Beanscene, and decided to get some lunch there. I ordered a Totally Wicked Mocha, with cream and mallows, and of course it was amazing. You HAVE to check out the picture..
The Botanic Gardens were so beautiful. I would recommend it to anyone. It was so relaxing to walk through it and see plants from all over the world! I enjoyed practicing my photo skills, as I hope you'll see.
Then Jenny and I wandered down Byres Road, and as we did, the memory of the botanic gardens was fresh in my mind and so was Philip's bold statement: a room is not a room without a plant... So i bought a little ivy to brighten up my room.
Jenny also pointed out some shops down an alleyway that I'd never seen before. It was great poking through this pawn-junk-treasure shop and then meandering over to the vintage clothing place next door. I never thought I'd find anything there, but I did!! I bought a great cordouroy jacket for £15 and a bright red hat that's great for this winter.
After that busy day, I headed home, and hung out with Sara for a while as she waited for Grey's Anatomy to start streaming on abc.com at 1am our time :)
Enjoy the picts!!! (ps, did you know that it's really nice to view them on slideshow, and that you can move from photo album to photo album using the arrows?)
