Up early to grab breakfast and our dive gear for a 9AM dive at Shark Point. Despite the name we did not see any sharks, but we saw a bunch of sea turtles, very cool. We also saw a large school of bump fish and, unfortunately lots of coral damage. We enjoyed our dive so much we scheduled an afternoon dive with the same dive master, Herman. We grabbed lunch, discovered the joy of the hammocks at the dive shop
(Manta Dive- GREAT!!) and rested up. The afternoon dive was Manta Point. There was better coral and colors. We saw 2 baby white tips, and adult white tip, cuddle fish- those things are awesome!- an eel, lion fish, turtles, but ironically no manta rays.

After some recovery time and showers we set off for a bit of partying. There are a bunch of cool places to drink, relax, and listen to music right along the main path and ocean. There was an incredible moon rise over Lombok that was really something special. The moon stopped some people walking along the beach dead in their tracks. The whole night we talked about how lucky all of us are to be in the Gilis in Indonesia for this experience. Not sure what time we finally made it to bed.

Travelers note: When picking a room on Gili be aware there is a call to prayer broadcast over loud speakers 5 times a day. You may want to find a place away from the mosque. There are also chickens everywhere on the tiny island that cackle all night. If you're a light sleeper invest in some ear plugs prior to your arrival.
