Halloween fell on Monday this year, so the entire Halloweekend has been full of parties and costumes and craziness.  I was at home for most of it, however - and it snowed.  About half of my town lost power and there was still snow on the ground in the morning.  On Saturday night I requested that we (my parents and I) watch Scream 4 to make it seem more like Halloween again.  It's hard to think that on Saturday morning I was raking but by the end of the day I should have been shoveling.

Anyway, for the actual day of Halloween I felt I ought to celebrate.  While my town still had snow underfoot, Boston did not.  A group of us went to Beacon Hill to Trick-Or-Treat, because we all believe you are never too old for that.  I have read that Beacon Hill gets very into this holiday, and it is true - I saw some great costumes, a gateway of black and orange balloons, tastefully decorated houses, and houses with yards converted into haunted houses.

We knew what street John Kerry lives on and tried to find his house (rumor has it that his maid gives out King Size candy bars).  No luck for us, although it turns out later that we did have the right street and others got to meet him.

iPod seemed to be the costume of choice this year.  When one little iPod child walked by, a whole crowd of Chinese tourists surrounded him and took hundreds of photos.  A couple of Chinese girls also took photos of us taking group photos of ourselves, which made us more than a little uncomfortable.  Still, it was funny seeing people being more tourist-y than ourselves, also tourists.
