We had an early start, and walked to the train station instead of waiting for the shuttle bus which starts running at 8.30am. We nearly made it to the train station when Kel saw the shuttle coming, so she showed a bit of leg and got us a free ride the rest of the way.

First attraction for the day was the Reichstag, the most visited Parliament in the world, and possibly one of the most visited sites in Berlin judging by the line up! An important building for the Germans, considering their communist past. The glass dome is symbolic of transparency, anyone is able to visit free of charge and look in over the parliament sittings below. Or 99% chance you're a tourist, and the view is better looking out than in. It was about a 2 hour wait and Kel played 'Eye spy’ with a few chicks also waiting in line from the UK.  We also met a 2 Aussie chicks inside that wanted their picture taken.  Kel offered to take the pic and while they were getting ready, we used their camera and took a few pictures of us while they werent looking.

Our other highlight of the day was another Segway Tour! This one was 4 hours, with only 2 other people who were from Brisbane – Team Australia! Our tour guide Wally was a crack up, and Kel didn’t stop laughing. One of the facts he shared, was that Berlin has the third highest gay population, San Francisco the second, and Sydney the highest. (He’s batting for other team with his floppy wrist and contributes to this statistic!)

We had a great day.  Got a few things done but it was quite relaxing.  Made it back to camp by about 9:30pm.  Gotta love the Acorn trees...not...acorns dropping on the roof of Helios waking Kel up.  She thinks its a drop bear or someone breaking in its that loud.  I’m getting a few bruises as kel is using them as ammunition on me.
