Where I stayed
! That is all we could see. Very foggy indeed! Trav just had to eat an icecream up the top. He certainly got a few strange looks. We caught a bus back to the city centre. We were going to listen to the ‘Glockenspiel Bells’ (18th Century bells) that play at 11am and 6pm daily but they were under reconstruction! Bloody hell! So we went to the Cathedral Dom instead... huge ceilings with paintings on the roof. Grabbed some tea at a nearby restaurant. They were very prompt in seating us, taking our orders and bringing out our meal. Here in Europe it is expected to tip approximately 10% of the bill. We haven’t done much tipping at all in our travels but this restaurant was great so we did give him a tip ‘be good to ya mother’. Haha...I think we gave him about 10% of the bill. Made our way back to Helios just after 7pmish and by 7:30pm Trav was fast asleep snoring his little nose off. Big day for the little boy!
Went to the outer skirts of Salzburg today to the 'Trick Fountains' at the Hellbrunn Palace and then followed by the Salzburg zoo. We had a guided tour with the Trick Fountains...a lot of fun! I’ll try and describe it... It’s this place where they have these water fountains and when you at least expect it, water will spurt from the roof or the ground or the side of the walls. They are hundreds of years old and still working today. Trav got sprayed directly in the face....Gold! Best part of my day! The Salzburg zoo was good too. Dogs allowed at the zoo! My favourite animals were the Bears, Lion, leopard, monkeys and cheetah. Trav took soooo any pics he almost ran out of space on the camera. We then went to the Untersbergbahn cable car to go to the top of the mountain. The weather was quite crappy so we weren’t sure what the view was going to be like... it was cold and rainy. But we went up anyway. There is me...totally rugged up. There is Trav...in shorts and a T-shirt! The view from the top was white
