Farewell Florence - Hello to Rome

! He worked out that if I spent 4minutes in every shop then we would be there for 7hours! You can always rely on Trav for a mathematically calculation of the day! We left at 6pm to start our drive to Rome. GPS calculated about 2.5 hours....but the more we drove, the more the time increased! We went via the Motorway. 3 lanes....bumper to bumper...the fastest speed was 30km per hour....the rain was set in for the night and plenty of thunder and lightning. After an hour of this, we knew something was definitely happening on the Motorway. Surely a huge accident to cause such a hold up. We were barely moving after an hour...stopping and starting. A few people turned their cars off and got out. I went to the loo and got a drink and we watched the lightning and listened to the radio. Wasn’t much we could do! After a total of 2.5 hours of being stuck in traffic, the 3 lanes went down to 2 and we made our way past the scene of the accident. A big truck was split down with middle with its contents across the motorway. Yeah...thanks Mr Truckie for that 2.5 hour delay! Hopefully he wasn’t hurt though. We made it to the campsite about 1am after experiencing the motorway and a lot of shit and bumpy roads! Thank goodness they allowed late check in!

Today we leave Florence and begin some more adventures in Rome! But before we head to Rome, Trav promised me a day at shopping at one of the designer outlets. OMG! I'm so totally excited! Trav wanted to stop at the local archaeological site/Museum first for an hour before hand. 1 hour.....I could handle that if I knew I had the rest of the day shopping! It was quite interesting all the old shit that was there. Trav made friends with the security guard who was from the UK and had his own free guided tour. I made my way through the whole 3 levels within the hour...Trav was still on the first floor after the hour! Panic set in thinking that I was going to miss my shopping day. But I waited patiently for Trav. 1hr and 40minutes later we were back on track and heading shopping! It was a rainy day so there weren’t many people around at the designer outlet. Love it! No crowds! We grabbed lunch and with my purse in one hand and my pack horse (Trav) in the other, we shopped! Trav was very patient and did an awesome job carrying my bags and he didn’t complain or rush me once
