So Ms Lois told some people near the Concordia campus as we were touring around St. Louis today…and what a great day today was! At The Rock, Sunday is considered our "day off", during which we have free roam of the city and the chance to do some fun sightseeing!

The day began by our group from Amazing Grace heading out to the Family Church at which we were given the opportunity to worship with over a thousand people in a beautiful and uplifting atmosphere. After church we headed back to The Rock and ate a quick lunch then headed out to Ted Drewes for some yummy dessert! For those of you that don't know Ted Drewes, Ted Drewes is a frozen custard place…with only the best frozen custard around St. Louis! It was good, and we were full;)

After Ted Drewes we headed over to the arch and walked the grounds. We could not go up because the next available time was at 8:30pm, and we already had plans, so we went on to the next attraction.

Now, before I go any further let me explain something to those of you who have not experienced mid-west humidity. It is like soup, you almost feel like you can swim through the air. And this gets the worst after a big rain—which we had last night. So while we had plans to do some paddle-boating, it was extremely hot and muggy so we opted to walk around the zoo (penguins, monkey house—indoor attractions); however, we could not find reasonable parking, so onto the next stop—Concordia Seminary—at which we were able to walk the grounds and have a look around (see photos). However, our search for the zoo took us on a tour of Forrest Park, in other words, a wrong turn caused us to take the long way; however, we were able to see this beautiful park.

By this time we were not particularly hungry—Ted Drewes!—but we knew we needed to eat dinner before our evening plans so we headed so after leaving the Seminary we headed back to Forrest Park and arrived at a restaurant called The Boathouse. We were given a spot on the dock overlooking the lagoons, where we had planned on paddle-boating, and enjoyed more delicious food! After dinner Ms Lois and Rachel left to go back and get the St. Louis gang while Elizabeth, Jessica, and Dave decided to enjoy some evening paddle-boating while the rest of the crew enjoyed the water and fellowship. We picked up the guys and gals and headed back to The Municipal Opera—better known as The Muny—where we were treated to seeing Legally Blonde The Musical! The Muny is an outdoor theater that has been in St. Louis for over 90 years! Our time there this evening was filled with lots of laughs as we enjoyed the phenomenal show.

Tomorrow we begin more work and while we were away a team of 15 arrived from Indiana (they are staying at another church tonight) and will be working with us tomorrow here at The Rock. So as I head off to bed the Amazing Grace Transformers and team would like to thank everyone for their continued support through prayer and love.

God’s amazing grace,

The Transformers
