WE BELIEVE in the light of the world; therefore, we shine so others can LOOK and see that light in us.

We are tired!...Well yes, very much so, but that's not quite what today’s theme was meant to mean. Today we concentrated on seeing as Jesus sees, LOOKing as Jesus looked; to not simply notice things and other people, but to notice them. We opened our eyes to what Jesus sees and the way he wants us to see so others can see Him in us.

Once again, it was an early morning and we headed over to the convention center for our Bible study with Rev. Dr. Dien Taylor. From there we headed out to the Flea Market and shops on the French Quarters and enjoyed a morning of sight-seeing. After lunch, we headed back to the Convention Center (all of this equals a lot of walking) and Pastor Rockey and Ava went to lie down in the private adult leader rooms and Elizabeth and Rachel walked around the Convention Center looking at the stands and doing some events. Along the way, we met up with some relatives, Uncle Johnny and Aunt Kathy; Rachel played laser tag (fun!!!); Elizabeth made a cross; and then we went to the Stellar Kart concert which was loud, loud, fun, loud, fantastic, loud, epic, loud, funny, loud, loud…and we had a great time (there are some videos uploaded). Afterwards we headed out to go back to the hotel and rest some before the Mass Event and eat dinner.

When we were heading to the mass event, Rachel was able to get in touch with some classmates from IL and see them for the first time in a while (we saw the Skit Guys together). Tonight’s mass event was especially special. The performances, presentations, and speeches were as usual fantastic, but we also had a candlelight memorial for those youth and adults that would have joined us this year at the youth gathering, but are with Jesus now (there is a video of this also). After the mass event, Rachel, Elizabeth, and Pastor Rockey went to see the Skit Guys at an evening activity. The Skit Guys are two guys who went to high-school together and were the class clowns. They are hilarious and use their God-given talents to help spread His word. After the performance there was a small worship with a few songs and a prayer done by a college group from Concordia.

Tomorrow is going to be another action-packed day. We have a few sessions we’re going to, a communion service at the mass event, and the Remedy Drive concert (Rachel’s very excited!) in the evening. In the process we plan on meeting with more people, including relatives, lost friends, and Pastor Randy who is who we’ll be helping next week at Acts 1:8 Ministries. Once again, thank you again for all the comments, support, and prayers. They are all being passed along; we’ve had quite a couple laughs about some of them! Also, if you saw pictures that didn’t have a caption on them, there are now captions on them. God’s Blessings!

Hi gals,
Carpe Diem! Unless you want to sleep in, in that case, Carpe Manana!!
As Miss Mary Anne says: You can sleep when you're dead!! SO - keep on enjoying, absorbing and relishing the excitement, the Spirit and God Himself as He comes to you in friends, concerts, settings and, yes, in fatigue.
New friends, old friends, good friends, all together praising the Lord! It just doesn't get any better than that!!
Blessings, hugs and love,
Miss Lee
P.S. Don't you feel a bit smug, though, wearing out your counselors? I'd never let Pastor Rockey forget it if it were me!!!!
