The Delay is Deeply Regretted
Sep 08, 2010
We have been in India for just a little over twenty-four hours and yet we already feel that we are getting a far more authentic experience than the Thamal/Lakeside bullshit. Yes, there is a lot of staring going on (since we left Kathmandu we have seen just four other white faces), but we have been left alone, or at least hassled as much or as little as everybody else, we are being begged from as much as everyone else, we are paying the same amount for things as everyone else. We are sitting here on the railway platform and are as delayed as everyone else - currently running at 7 hours.
