Seven hours on a fairly new train from Bucharest to Veliko Turnovo, (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tarnovo) the former capital of Bulgaria, was uneventful save a few delays at the border stops. Staying in a few pensions hugging the rocks of the hillside of this town.  Got in late last night, ate really great food (for a change!) and then moved into room option number three. Number one had a major leaking toilet and the sweet smell of sewage wafting through the air, number two had shared facilities that apparently had 'eau de urine' sprayed after cleaning it...  Exploring town today and perhaps a local festival of some sort this pm with our guide...the sun is out and the t-shirts are seeing the light of day...finally!!!
