Before all that happens though, let me update you as best as i can with life in Tassie, with the non-routine everyday life happenings. I haven't done any roadtrips or anything as the weather is a quite bit cooler (its coming into winter here) but i have ventured oot a wee bit here and there on my days off
One day i went to a place called Liffey Falls, with beautiful falls in a lush, green forest. Another day a drive to the coast, a place called Low Head, where the ocean meets the Tamar River..nothing much there except beach, coast on both sides, lighthouse, a small town (small is big in tassie) and nobody around. Lucy and I went to Josef Chromy vineyard for lunch which was just lovely. Its set on a lake with hills all around and a nice terrace to sit outside...and a vintage bottle of sparkling wine always helps as well. And of course i have been chilling with my Roaddog and her kids as much as possible...it really feels nice to live close to Lucy, something that i am almost used to now but definitely still appreciating.
Then ive been to Devonport a few times, the 3rd largest city in tassie (maybe 25000 peeps). Its on the north coast and harbours the huge ferry, Spirit of Tasmania, which brings peeps and vehicles from/to the mainland, Melbourne, an overnight journey. I had to go there to get some vaccinations for my upcomping travels and made the most of it as its a nice little town..there are walking tracks all along the long harbour with cliffs and hills and lots of beach to enjoy if the weather was warmer. The hour drive from launceston to devonport is lovely as well as in most cases in tassie.
So that's that really...time is slipping away as usual and i'll be off before i know it.
